This is a fun post to write, because it means we got new sheets!
Don’t you just love it when you get a new set of sheets? It’s one of my favorite simple pleasures in life.
The folks at California Design Den contacted me to see if I was interested in them sending me a new set of sheets for a review here at Simple Decorating Tips.
Uh… Heck yeah!
What have I got to lose, right?!
If they’re not too great, then no worries, I’ll just add them to my donation box, and it’ll be fun telling you about that. And if they’re nice, well, that will be fun telling you about too, and we wind up with a new set of nice sheets!
As it turns out they sent me a queen set of sheets, which wouldn’t fit our bed, but my son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Melissa, have a queen bed. When I asked Melissa if she’d be interested in giving me a little review for a set of sheets, she was pretty excited because she said they kind of needed a new set, (like really bad) so it was sweet timing!
We’ve been battling blizzard after blizzard up here in Wisconsin and Minnesota, (record snowfalls have been met this year!!) so it took us a few weeks to be able to meet up for the ‘sheet exchange’! They live in Minnesota, and we live in Wisconsin. I’ve written a little about their houses they’ve renovated… Here are the posts on their current home, a traditional farmhouse style… so cute!! They opened up the main level and made a huge difference in the kitchen! It’s gorgeous!
Back to the sheets…
The set of sheets California Design Den sent are their top selling, 100% cotton sheets and are an amazing 600 thread count!
When I first got married, 40 years ago, I was given the tip to always look for sheets that are 100 thread count, anything less wouldn’t feel as good… Wow, we’ve come a long way Baby… 600 thread count! That is pure luxury! I’m amazed at this quality not being an absurdly high price tag… In fact, they are very reasonably priced… You can check them out here for yourself.
Melissa put on the new sheets today and is thrilled!
The deep pockets on the sheets fit over their mattress great, even with their additional foam topper too.
Such a luxury to get new sheets, these were no let-down for Melissa either. She’s a mama of 1 very busy toddler and 1 energetic pre-schooler, so I’m not sure she actually ‘feels’ the sheets when she finally crashes at night, but she did say the sheets felt very nice when she was making the bed.
If you haven’t noticed, Melissa loves horses! There is a touch of ‘horse’ in pretty much every room one way or another. Isn’t this stitched horse pillow on their bed such a pretty accent? I couldn’t find that exact pillow for sale any longer, but here are some other very charming equestrian pillow choices. (affiliate link)
Now go check out the sheets at California Design Den and see what you think.
