John 1:29 “The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and he said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!…”
Happy Easter everyone!
But it’s not my words that will speak the message to your heart, so I’ll let you dwell on the Bible verse and just say a quick and simple post, hoping everyone a Happy Easter!
I took this picture in our breakfast room. It’s the vignette sitting on the top of the corner cupboard that actually came out of the antique brick cottage we renovated a few years ago, and fits wonderfully in this room of our 100 year old house.
Just a little background on the Easter collection sitting on the cupboard…
The white pitchers, some are old and some are new… New ones came from Target, old ones from tag sales.
The tin lamb cake form I bought from a friend that had it listed on a Facebook garage sale site. (there’s a bunny cake form from her on the other side of the vintage basket)
The Mod Podge script covered eggs is from a project I did a few years ago, you can read how to do those fun eggs here.
The vintage Easter basket was my husband’s when he was little. He came from a family of 10 children. Bless his mother for being organized that she kept their Easter baskets and Christmas stockings, year after year, re-using each year, and gave them to each child to take to their perspective adult homes. Being treasured like that when they were children, makes them so much more precious to them now… instead of just getting a new basket every year, that soon loses all it’s meaning once the candy from it disappears.
So two messages, one of great significance, the other just earthly specialness… have a great Easter, and think about keeping your kiddo’s basket to re-use each year, it’ll be special to them when they’re grown. 😉
Happy Easter, from Liz
