Details can make such a difference in decorating. The other day I showed you the mini E-A-S-T-E-R peat pots that I made and put on top of the sideboard mirror ledge.
Once I had them up there I realized that the sideboard needed a little bit more to finish the look.
What do you think? Here’s the before and after:
I had most of the things already…
Except the ceramic bunnies, I bought at a local gift shop… I love the whitewashed finished they have…
Of course the wood logs are originally from the Christmas table, but since I used them on the Easter Centerpiece this year, it’s nice to repeat that look over here… I just keep using and reusing those little logs!
The glass on the mercury glass candle holders, my daughter gave me, and the blue glass in the lantern on the right, that my son gave me, tie together with the aqua accents of the E-A-S-T-E-R pots and create a frame around the basket with moss and bunnies.
The basket and faux moss covered rocks I found at Target last year (here’s how I used them on the Summer Tablescape)… so as you see, they’re quite versatile.
Even though the two bunnies are identical, (that’s all the store had) by turning them differently and on different levels, they look unique.
Ah… there, now it looks done!
Oh… I’ve got to update you on the grass situation from the Easter Centerpiece I built last week over 5 days… (Day 1: DIY Easter Pots, Day 2: Jute Wrapped Eggs, Day 3: Mod Podge Eggs, Day 4: Building a Planter from Scrap Wood, Day 5: Putting it all together)
So do you think it’s growing??? Remember I said either it’d grow or I’d post about DIY faux grass…
Stay tuned… Update!!! Here’s the post on the grass: Easter Grass, Did it Grow??
