I’m so happy to tell you that the ‘pergola-turned-porch’ is done, I’ll do a full reveal on Tuesday, July 3 of that, but for today, I wanted to show a table I have on that finished porch:
This crackle paint treatment is the real deal! I have done nothing to it, age and years of being outside in the elements did to it.
When I got this table, it had been sitting outside for so long that the bottom couple of inches of the legs were totally rotten, so we measured from the top down and just sawed the rotten part off.
Yep, it’s now a little short for ‘dining’ at, but works great here between the wicker swivel/rockers and the back service door.
Isn’t the old, simple drawer handle charming?
Since the wicker chairs hide most of the table front, I turned it so that the drawer faces the service door. That way I have easy access to the drawer too.
Now the table serves as a good visual block to that service door, (because I’m trying to help visitors go to the French doors just to the left of the service door) and gives me a surface to put these fun oversized lanterns I bought at a local occasional sale.
I love the authentic crackle finish and simple design of this enamel top table, it’s perfect for this porch at ‘Our House’.
I appreciate you stopping by.
