Our House… Coast to Coast Goodness on the Sunporch

Probably about 12 years ago, while traveling in Northern Minnesota, I stopped at a little antique shop and found this Coast-to-Coast store display shelf:

It sits behind the chaise, in front of one of the East facing windows on the sunporch, at ‘Our House’.

I thought it was such a unique piece. I’ve never seen anything like it.

It’s 100% original from the Coast-to-Coast display advertising sign above to the minty green finish to the aluminum screws holding the shelves and hooks for displaying garden hoses.

The inset shelves are a perfect place to set this humidity tray I made for the orchids.

The plants thrive in this East window.

Obviously, this mint green sprinkle can is from the same time period… what is that 1950’s?

It’s such a unique piece, it fits… size-wise and theme-wise and color-wise in the sunporch, where we have a casual, colorful style trying to maintain a ‘porch-y’ feel, even though this room is totally a 4-season room now.

As always, please feel free to share this blog with your friends, as well as on Facebook and Pinterest the more the merrier!

I appreciate you stopping by.

I thought your rug looked familiar. I’ve been thinking about getting this one for my den. My wall color is similar to yours – it’s silver sage from Restoration Hardware and my sofa is upholstered in a yellow/gold fabric. It you don’t mind me asking – How do like the quality of the rug? I think it looks really nice in your sunporch!

Thanks. The one I found is from Home Depot that has to be ordered. The design is just like yours, however, the tag says it is 100% polypropylene.
