Our House… New Season, New Dining Table Vignette

May 20, 2012

At ‘Our House’ the dining table is the first piece of furniture guests see, when they enter into the house. So for that reason I try, (try, but not always successful) to be diligent about having a beautiful seasonal vignette to welcome people in.

This is what is  greeting guests this summer.

You’ll recognize the cloche and glass jars with found birds nests I used on the Easter and Spring Table.

This faux zinc dove came from Ballard Designs a few years ago, and there’s something so sweet about her, I love to incorporate her in different vignettes, in fact, here is where she used to be.

The mixture of textures is really yummy to my visual senses. I’ve used glass accents in a couple more places in the dining room this summer, which I’ll share with you very soon.

The topiaries, basket and faux moss covered rocks, oh and the base for the cloche (fits perfect!) all came from Target.

This simple, yet sophisticated vignette or tablescape, whatever you want to call it, is easy on the eyes, not jarring, but has a wonderful fresh feel to it for the summer season. Welcome!

As always, please feel free to share this blog with your friends, as well as on Facebook and Pinterest the more the merrier!

I appreciate you stopping by.

So pretty. I love the basket and your topiaries, plus your bird is fabulous too. Of course the cloche is wonderful, you knew I would notice that. Great vignette. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty

Hi, Love your vignette, that is what’s so great about changing season…we get to rearrange.
What is better from spring than birds and nest. Very cute, I am coming over from a linky party, drop by for a visit. Kathy

Every time you use that glass dome and that beautiful cloche, I want to find one similar. This is my favorite vignette of yours yet. I guess it is that dove! Came over from Funky Junk.
