While I was shuffling furniture from one room to another, I showed you in a previous post how I replaced this black bench with the white gateleg table. To the left of the bench, was this Home Goods purchased cupboard,
I took it from this corner and put it in the back entry where I took the gateleg table from. (Confused yet? You should have seen me shuffling all this furniture around my house, I was plenty confused.)
Once the tall cupboard was gone, I replaced it with this wicker tea table. I bought this tea table at Pier 1 several years ago, and have used it in a few places throughout the house. It was most recently in one of the guest bedrooms, but fit in this spot really well, so now this is its new home…for a while.
The area above the tea table I did loosely with a bird theme in mind.
I ordered this light sconce online and really led into this theme, you can check out how I repeated the bird theme a bit by the mantel as well.
This sweet pair of little birds, sit on the tea table top next to a bird cage my mother-in-law bought me a long time ago. She knew I had a fondness for both wicker and birdcages, it’s a nice reminder of her thoughtfulness.
This vintage print I picked up at a yard sale for pennies and love the colors in it.
I got this cute little mine pendulum clock through the same company the repro clock above the pantry transom came from.
To do this entire space, I didn’t have to purchase one single thing new, but instead moved pieces around from other areas in “Our House”, a sort of treasure hunting if you will.
I appreciate you stopping by.
